Unpad’s Faculty of Psychology Invests in Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Padjadjaran University’s Faculty of Psychology has been actively involved in funding and implementing activities that align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) during the 2024-2025 academic year. The faculty has allocated a total of

Rp 1,628,090,000 across various initiatives, with the largest portion dedicated to SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, receiving Rp 647,840,000. This is followed by

SDG 4: Quality Education with Rp 351,350,000, and SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth with Rp 300,900,000.

Key Activities and Funding

The faculty’s commitment to the SDGs is evident in a wide range of projects. Here’s a breakdown of some of the notable activities and their funding:

  • SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being
    • “Upaya Peningkatan Wellbeing, Resiliensi Wirausaha & Entrepreneurial Outcome” and “Ironic Effects of Thought Suppression: Studi Tentang Proses Berpikir Individu” each received Rp 85,000,000.
    • “Me and Marriage: Menikah dengan Persiapan” was allocated Rp 9,500,000.
  • SDG 4: Quality Education
    • The project “Mengoptimalisasikan Lingkungan Belajar Numerasi dan Bahasa pada Anak Pra Sekolah” received Rp 8,500,000.
    • Two projects, “Pelatihan Pengasuhan tentang Berpikir Kritis pada Anak Pra-Sekolah” and “Workshop Optimalisasi Dukungan Orang Tua dalam Meningkatkan Keterampilan Penyesuaian Akademik Siswa SMP di Kecamatan Jatinangor,” were each funded with Rp 8,500,000.
  • SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth
    • The largest single allocation was for “Pemberdayaan Perempuan Pelaku UMKM Menuju Ekonomi Digital,” which received Rp 100,000,000. This activity also supports SDG 5: Gender Equality.
    • “Pengembangan Kepemimpinan Desa dalam Gerakan Usaha Ekonomi Desa” and “Pelatihan Analisis Butir Soal dan Reliabilitas Evaluasi Hasil Belajar pada Guru SMAN 1 Jatinangor” were allocated Rp 9,500,000 and Rp 10,500,000 respectively.

Community and Student Involvement

The faculty also champions community engagement through KKN/PPM (Kuliah Kerja Nyata/Pengabdian pada Masyarakat) activities, which involve both students and faculty members. These initiatives focus on a range of SDGs, including SDG 1: No Poverty, SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, and SDG 4: Quality Education.

  • SDG 1: No Poverty projects, such as “Peranan Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUMDes) dalam Meningkatkan Perekonomian Masyarakat Desa,” involved 25 KKN students in workshops and socialization efforts.
  • For SDG 3, projects like “Mengasuh Anak Remaja” focused on parenting skills and mental health for adolescents.
  • SDG 4 activities included workshops for parents on supporting academic adjustment and improving the learning environment for pre-school children.

These efforts demonstrate the faculty’s commitment to making a tangible, positive impact on society by aligning its academic and community programs with the Sustainable Development Goals.
