Intro

The International Affairs Office (KUI) at the Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Padjadjaran, facilitates global engagement through various programs, including international internships, collaborations with foreign universities, and initiatives to enhance the cultural and academic experiences of both local and international students. The unit aims to foster a comprehensive understanding of diverse socio-cultural landscapes and equip students with essential skills for their future careers.

In Unpad

Here are some of the security and safety facilities on Universitas Padjadjaran:

  • CCTV: Unpad has 488 indoor and outdoor CCTV cameras to monitor various areas.
  • Fire Safety: Fire hydrants, fire extinguishers, and sprinklers are available for firefighting.
  • Ambulance: 24 Hour Ambulance Service from Unpad Health Clinic (Call Center: 0821 1969 5900)
  • Elevator Safety: Elevator buttons have been replaced with sensors.
  • IoT (Energy Monitoring): Unpad uses IoT systems to optimize electricity usage.
  • Evacuation Route Plan Map: Unpad has planned evacuation routes for emergencies.

Additionally, Unpad collaborates with external security providers to manage all security personnel on campus.

Unpad also has a Sexual Violence Prevention and Handling Task Force (Satgas PPKS Unpad) to receive reports of alleged sexual violence from reporters (victims and/or witnesses). Reporting in question is the process of reporting by a reporter, witness, victim, victim’s parents, legal representative or person authorized by the victim, about the occurrence, current or occurrence of an event which is suspected of being sexual violence committed by one or more people (Reported). Satgas PPKS Unpad will process an incident suspected of being sexual violence based on the report.

Faculty of Psychology has security facilities such as

  • CCTV in various areas, such as in the lobby, in classes, etc.
  • Fire safety: Fire hydrants in each building and floors
  • First Aid box for Accidents (P3K)
  • Evacuation Route Plan Map: Faculty of Psychology has planned evacuation routes for emergencies. The gathering point for the evacuation route is in front of the lobby of building 1 Faculty of Psychology

There is a security guard unit (SATPAM) on guard 24 hours and is open to reports regarding security and safety.

Faculty of Psychology Unpad has disability-friendly facilities, where there are disabled parking spaces, disabled stairs, and disabled walkways.

Klinik Unpad

Klinik Unpad or Universitas Padjadjaran Health Clinic is a business unit that operates in the health services sector which provides General Poly, Dental & Oral Poly, Specialist Poly (Eyes, ENT, Internal Medicine, Skin and Venereology, OB-GYN, Orthopedics, Clinical Nutrition and Mental Health), Maternal and Child Health (KIA), Clinical Laboratory services. Pharmacy, Medical Team Services, Ambulance, Medical Check Up, Physiotherapy, and Unpad Gym under the auspices of Padjadjaran University. It is located at UNPAD Campus Jl. Ir. Pusat Penguatan Karakter & Konseling Unpad (P2K2)

Provides psychological support, counseling, and character-building programs from professional psychologists and counselors, aiming to enhance personal development, mental health, and overall well-being within the university community. It is located at Universitas Padjadjaran Jatinangor, besides the university library (Grha Kandaga) and behind the Faculty of Psychology.

Jatinangor, a town in West Java, Indonesia, has evolved significantly over the years. Originally a rural area known for its agriculture, it began to transform in the late 20th century.
The establishment of several major universities, including Universitas Padjadjaran, has turned Jatinangor into an educational hub. This shift has brought urban development, increased population, and a vibrant student community, making it a key center for higher education in the region.   6. Bandung Giri Gahana Golf & Resort Located on the high plains of Jatinangor, this golf course has two nine-hole rounds with a total length of 7,176 yards from the professional tees.
  7. Menara Loji Menara Loji is a historical witness to Jatinangor’s rich history as a rubber plantation center in West Java in the 19th century. The tower now forms part of Taman Loji, managed by the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) Jatinangor Campus, offering a public open space celebrating Jatinangor’s history.
  8. Jembatan Cincin Located behind Padjadjaran University, this bridge offers interesting visuals with its half-ring design. Built in 1918, the bridge was initially intended for the Rancaekek-Jatinangor-Tanjungsari-Citali railway to transport tea and rubber plantation products.

Welcome to Indonesia! Get to know Indonesia and Universitas Padjadjaran through these facts of ours.
  1. Indonesians are delighted once they see distinctive foreigners among the locals. They often take photos without permission. If you are uncomfortable with it, refusing is permitted.
  2. Indonesians are proud to see foreigners speaking in Bahasa despite the unfluent accent.
  3. Indonesians are very welcoming to new people.
  4. Indonesians are friendly. We would love to throw a smile and greet foreigners.
  5. Indonesians are helpful and they are rarely found to be individualistic.
  6. You would find a lot of traffic jams due to the large population, especially in Java.
  7. For particular foods (e.g. Sundanese and Minangnese cuisines).
  8. Indonesians often use bare hands straight away for eating.
  9. Indonesians don’t call someone older straight away by their names but use “Pak” or “Bu” or “Kak” or “Mas” or “Mbak” or “Teh” preceding their names instead.
  10. Unpad has local transportation within the university area called Odong.
  11. Unpad students call their seniors with “Teh” or “Kang” or “Kak” preceding the seniors’ name.
  12. You might find people within or around the university speaking in Sundanese on top of Bahasa since Sundanese is the traditional language spoken in West Java
