The New Student Admission 2025 in the Faculty of Psychology Unpad

New Student Orientation (Penerimaan Mahasiswa Baru (PMB)) for the Faculty of Psychology, Padjadjaran University, has taken place on Wednesday and Thursday, August 13–14, 2025, at the faculty’s second building (Mar’at Wiradimadja Building) and was attended by new undergraduate students. This two-day event was designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the faculty environment, academic regulations, organizational culture, and social life, enabling new students to adapt quickly.

At the opening ceremony, the Head of the KPSDM Department, Reva Almira, symbolically placed the Faculty of Psychology sash on the PMB 2025 Project Officer, Faizzati Nissa, as a sign of handing over the 205 new students to the organizing committee. This moment also marked the official opening of the orientation series and expressed the hope that the activities would help students adapt academically and socially from day one.

The first day focused on academic orientation and faculty culture: the opening, a safety briefing, a learning contract session for APM 2025 guided by facilitators, ORBIT session which was the time to explain the role of academic advisors and meet them, NASA (Navigating the Academic System) to explain the course and credit registration mechanism, and the student development program flow. On the same day, the SUPERNOVA and MARSSS sessions were held. It discussed the faculty’s culture—including the 5S culture, etiquette for interacting with the academic community, and a guide to using campus sites and services like SIM Unpad, PACIS, and the faculty website—conducted in 24 small groups to ensure participants got hands-on practice.

The curriculum and graduate profile were presented by the Head of the Undergraduate Program (S1), Dr. Kustimah, M.Psi., Psikolog. She explained the sequence of courses from semester 1 to 8 and the expected competency achievements, followed by a Q&A session before students moved to their academic advisors’ rooms for a more personal introduction and to create a study action plan.

The second day featured an introduction to organizations through UFO (Uncover Fapsi’s Organizations), an introduction to communities and religious groups in the KOSMIKK session, and STELLAR which took participants on a tour of the buildings, canteen, and supporting facilities. All programs were facilitated in groups to ensure active interaction and deep understanding. The atmosphere of the event was noted to be enthusiastic, supported by energizers and interactive quizzes that strengthened camaraderie.

The in-person PMB 2025 series concluded with an evaluation of participants’ understanding through a quiz and the completion of a feedback questionnaire. The closing ceremony was hosted by an MC who delivered a brief summary, words of thanks, and final instructions. After a closing prayer, the new students left the location in an orderly manner.
