Rector’s Regulation No. 45 Year 2016, which was enacted in that year, stipulates that all areas of Universitas Padjadjaran campus must be free from smoking activities. This policy is not only intended for students but also all lecturers, administrative staff, and visitors who come to campus.
The Faculty of Psychology, which has been paying great attention to mental and physical health, has taken various strategic steps to ensure that this policy is well adhered to by all parties involved.
The Faculty of Psychology Padjadjaran University has officially implemented a smoke-free policy throughout the faculty environment. This policy is part of the faculty’s commitment to create a healthy environment and support the well-being of the entire civitas. This policy strictly prohibits smoking activities in and around faculty buildings, including in open areas within the campus environment.
As part of the effort to support this policy, the Faculty of Psychology Unpad strictly does not provide a special place for smokers or smoking areas in the faculty environment. This decision was taken to emphasize the faculty’s commitment to creating a completely smoke-free environment, so there is no tolerance for smoking activities anywhere in the faculty area.
In addition, the faculty has installed various signs containing appeals related to smoking restrictions in all corners of the campus. Therefore, the message regarding the importance of complying with this policy can be conveyed clearly to all campus residents and visitors. This step is intended not only to protect the physical health of the civitas but also to support their mental health, which is greatly influenced by the quality of the environment in which they study and work.
The Faculty of Psychology Universitas Padjadjaran is committed to continuing to support and strengthen the implementation of this smoke-free policy and to putting efforts into creating a healthier, smarter, and more productive young generation. This policy is expected to make a significant contribution to creating a conducive academic environment and supporting the welfare of all citizens.
