“Reimagining Academia: Strategies to Cultivate Happiness and Integrity in Academic Life” A Public Lecture by Dr. Joeri K. Tijdink

On March 13th, 2025, The Faculty of Psychology of Universitas Padjadjaran invited students, lecturers, and even any academic enthusiasts to attend a Public Lecture delivered by Dr. Joeri K. Tijdink. The Public Lecture was held hybrid via Zoom Meetings and offline at the Conference Room / S3 Seminar Seminar Room of the Faculty of Psychology Universitas Padjadjaran.
Titled “Reimagining Academia: Strategies to Cultivate Happiness and Integrity in Academic Life”, this Public Lecture aims to connect the two themes of his research: research integrity and mental health within the academic community. It is also an opportunity to introduce him as an Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Psychology Universitas Padjadjaran.
Through this lecture, Dr. Tijdink answered questions on what the Netherlands can learn from Indonesia and discussed what can be done to improve academia on several levels. It is an effort to reimagine academia as a healthier, more supportive, and responsible research environment – while enjoying the everlasting adventurous journey of doing research.
