“Humans are social animals,” we have all heard the saying, but what exactly does it mean? 

Prof. Johan Karremans from Radboud University, best known for his research on relationships and social and cultural psychology has held a public lecture for students, teachers, and enthusiasts titled “People are Social Animals. The lecture was held on October 10th 2024, at the Conference Room / S3 Seminar Room of the Faculty of Psychology Universitas Padjadjaran.

In this lecture, Prof. Karremans discussed the findings of his research that truly proves that humans are indeed social animals. In addition, he highlighted his past works on the ingredients of a happy and healthy social relationships, focusing specifically on the context of romantic relationships. It was a lecture that truly emphasized humans as social beings as being more than just the sum of their parts.
