On Saturday, November 16, 2023, field activities for the Psychology of Sustainability elective course were carried out which were attended by Fapsi Unpad students and exchange students (PMM) from various Faculties of Psychologies in Indonesia.

The topic of this course is Conservation Psychology, which is taught in the Kiterong Sand Block, Social Forestry Area, Mount Manglayang. The field supervisor (lecturer in charge) was Hammad Zahid Muharram, with teaching assistants who were S2 (Master’s) students with a specialization in Social Psychology, namely Lulu Nailufaaz (2022), Novelda Yogaswari (2023) and Salwa Nurbaiah (2023).

This field activity reached 35 participants who had filled out informed consent forms because this activity requires adequate physical conditions for climbing. The agenda in the field is divided into five, namely:

1) Lecturing and Discussion

2) Geotaging

3) Macrophoto

4) Planting

5) Mountain Cleanup

This field activity is then related to the 4th Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which concern Quality Education with the main goal of ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all. Hopefully, through this field activity, the students are able to engage directly with nature and have a positive impact on a better world in the long run.
