The Student Welfare Department of the BEM Kema Fakultas Psikologi Unpad (Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Psychology Universitas Padjadjaran) is a department that serves and advocates for student needs in academic and non-academic aspects, campus policies, infrastructure facilities to support lecturing activities, and relations with the dean, as well as supporting student welfare, both physically and mentally. One of the programs which support this function is the Hastaprada Scholarship.
The Hastaprada Scholarship program is a scholarship program that aims to help active students of the Faculty of Psychology Universitas Padjadjaran who are struggling financially, especially in fulfilling their daily needs, as well as facilitating students who are willing to help fellow civitas of the Faculty of Psychology Universitas Padjadjaran as donors. Hastaprada Scholarship also oversees two other programs, namely meal vouchers and Hiraku (Goods and Books Donation).
The Hastaprada meal voucher program is a support provided by BEM Fapsi Unpad in the form of free meal cards and discounts to help active students of the Faculty of Psychology Universitas Padjadjaran who experience problems meeting their daily meals. The target of this program is achieved when, each month, the recipient is given as many as 8 meal vouchers that can be exchanged at the Dinain canteen at the Faculty of Psychology Universitas Padjadjaran at a predetermined time (Monday – Friday). In its implementation, this meal voucher has been successfully distributed to 4 students in need.
In the Goods and Books Donation (Hiraku) Program, civitas can donate their goods and/or books to the Student Welfare Department to be loaned to other civitas of the Faculty of Psychology Universitas Padjadjaran.
One of the achievement indicators of the Hastaprada program is marked by how every month, the Student Welfare Department managed to collect funds from around 30 – 48 donors and distributed the funds to 6-7 students in need. This program also succeeded in helping 3 students to receive laptop loans from the faculty.
Not only the Hastrapada program, the Student Welfare Department also provides other services such as educational services, residential services, free internet services, and transportation services. In educational services, there is an Education Fund Service Information program that shares information about scholarships and tuition fee adjustments. Throughout 2023, the program has granted 40 scholarships and assisted 80 students who applied for KS/TM scholarships.
Meanwhile, the student welfare department indirectly assists with residential services, free internet, and transportation. The university provides residential facilities, public transportation inside Unpad (odong), and free Wi-Fi. However, providing information to channel students’ aspirations regarding facilities is directly assisted by the Student Welfare Department, which is integrated with Forkesma (Student Welfare Forum) and is carried out by the Student Welfare Department of all faculties, under the supervision of BEM Kema Unpad.
