Exhibition Activities during Odd Semester 2023 by Faculty of Psychology Universitas Padjadjaran Student: From Children’s Education to Beauty

Students of the Faculty of Psychology Universitas Padjadjaran once again presented a series of interesting exhibitions featuring students’ work from various courses. These exhibitions were not only a place for students to show off their creativity but also a place to share knowledge about innovation and technology in various fields, from education for children with special needs to cosmetic psychology.

Poster Exhibition by Undergraduate Students: Psycholinguistics Course

On Tuesday, 12 December 2023, the final exam for the Developmental Psycholinguistics course was held. This exam was a moment for students to show off their creative posters containing innovative ideas in the world of children’s education. Some of the posters that drew attention were Educational Play Tools based on Montessori Cards, Phono Fun “Prevent Children from Phoneme Failure” cards to prevent phoneme failure in children, and various other educational games.

Prototype Exhibition: Psychology of Education for Children with Special Needs

On December 14, 2023, the Psychology of Education for Children with Special Needs course held a prototype exhibition by Psychology students! At this exhibition, the students displayed various teaching aids that were originally designed over the past semester for children with various special needs, ranging from those with hearing impairment, visual impairment, ADHD, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, to many other special needs. Some of the exhibitions displayed were: Building blocks for children with Dyspraxia, Braille Counting Cubes, Nature-Friendly Classroom Design for children with ADHD, several other interesting applications, and games for children with Expressive Language Disorder.

Poster Session: Parenting 101

To fulfill the final assignment for the Parenting 101: Science & Application course, students from the 2020 and 2021 intakes who took this course participated in the poster session held on December 7, 2023, at Plaza Batu, Faculty of Psychology Universitas Padjadjaran. The posters presented were the results of research conducted during the semester on parental burnout, parenting pressure, task sharing, well-being, and various other variables related to parenting. Twelve groups with various research titles were involved. The posters presented various interesting findings regarding the challenges faced by parents in raising children.

S(cantik)fic Festival

The Faculty of Psychology Universitas Padjadjaran had just held a lively S(cantik)fic Festival on December 6-7, 2023. This collaboration with Wardah Lightening brought together Cosmetic Psychology and Management Psychology students in various interesting activities. For two days, this festival featured a campus roadshow with expert speakers discussing the importance of self-image and self-love. In addition, there was also a poster exhibition showcasing student work related to cosmetics and beauty. The highlight was the Wardah Beauty Class, which provided an opportunity for the participants to learn more about skincare and the latest makeup trends. The S(cantik)fic Festival is not only a place to share knowledge but also a platform for students to explore themselves and their creativity in the world of beauty.

Photovoice Exhibition

Students from RMIT Australia and Universitas Padjadjaran participated in the Photovoice Exhibition. They displayed their research results on the communities around the Cikapundung River. The photos displayed depicted interesting stories about the life of the people around the river.

The exhibitions organized by the Faculty of Psychology Universitas Padjadjaran demonstrate the spirit of innovation and creativity of students. Such activities are not only beneficial for students, but also for the wider community. Through these exhibitions, it is hoped that new innovations can be created which can make a positive contribution to society
