The Faculty of Psychology’s Public Relation — On Thursday, December 22nd 2022, a hybrid lecturer meeting was held at the Faculty of Psychology, Padjadjaran University, Jatinangor. The meeting itself was attended by 41 lecturers via offline and 5 lecturers via online. The several meeting agendas include (1) Announcement of information related to the faculty (2) Results presentation of 1 (one) department discussion and (3) Election of department heads.

The meeting began with an opening led by the Dean of the Faculty of Psychology, Padjadjaran University, Zahrotur Rusyda Hinduan, S.Psi., MOP, Ph.D and then continued with the session of informing details related to the faculty by the Deputy Dean for Learning, Student Affairs & Research, Fredrick Dermawan Purba, M. Psi., Ph.D., Psychologist. The main event regarding the department was led by the Deputy Dean of Organizational Resources, Dr. Afra Hafny Noer, M.Sc., Psychologist together with the Departmental Restructuring AdHoc Team, namely Dra. Tutty I. Sodjakusumah, M.Sc., M.Litt., Psychologist, Aulia Iskandarsyah, M.Psi., M.Sc., Ph.D., Psychologist, Hari Setyowibowo, S.Psi., M.Psi., Ph.D., Psychologist, Yuliana Hanami, Ph.D, Dr. Shally Novita, Ph.D, and Azhar El hami, M.Si., Psychologists.

The event began with submitting name suggestions for 1 (one) department which were obtained from 6 (six) departments and then processed by the Departmental Restructuring Adhoc Team, carrying the name ‘Department of Psychology and Mental Health’. The proposed name was then opened for discussion and submission of opinions from the lecturers to reach an agreement. After going through the discussion, it was agreed that the name of the department would be “Department of Psychology”.
The activity was then followed by determining the head of the department. Ar first, there were 7 (seven) candidates who met the qualifications to be the head of the department. The selection of department head is carried out in 2 (two) stages, namely deliberation for consensus and voting. The consensus deliberation stage is carried out by prospective candidates to determine potential candidates who are willing to become heads of departments, while the voting stage is carried out by lecturers who are present offline and online to vote. From this stage, Dr. Retno Hanggarani Ninin, M.Psi., Psychologist is selected as the head of the department.

Congratulations to the Faculty of Psychology, Padjadjaran University for successfully passing through the long process of restructuring departments from 6 (six) departments to 1 (one) department, and congratulations on taking a new assignment for the head of the department. Hopefully it will bring many benefits and progress to our beloved Faculty (H/SKN)*.
